Dr. Uzma Nadeem is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Environmental Studies of Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, India.
She obtained her Ph.D. degree as well as her M.Sc. degree from University of Allahabad, India in the field of Environmental Sciences. Dr. Uzma has published a number of papers in various reputed peer reviewed national and international journals. She has also presented various academic as well as research-based papers at National/International conference (Singapore, Germany, Turkey, New York, Spain & Colombia)
Dr. Uzma has also received various awards like “UGC- Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Women” by University Grants Commission, New Delhi, India -2012, “Special recognition Award” by Panasonic-Harit Umang Olympiad for conducting online Environment awareness activities during lock-down for the duration 2020-2021, “Best Oral Presentation Award” at National Conference on Water Sustainability Conservation, Policy, Ethics and Science, Delhi, 2020, “Young Scientist Award” at 8th International Congress of Environmental Research, Lubeck, Germany- 2016 & “Professor V.S. Tripathi Award” at 51st Annual Convention of Chemists, Indian Chemical Society, Kolkata, India-2014.
Dr. Uzma Nadeem has organized two International Conferences in collaboration with Institute of Economic Development and Social Research Publications, Turkey and two online short-term certificate courses on Environment and Sustainability & Environment Management. She is also the member of various International Conferences organized at Illinois, Turkey, India, New York, Spain etc.
She is the Eco-club in-charge of Mata Sundri College for Women since 2019 and She has organized various events.
She has also delivered invited talks for the Petroleum Conservation Research Association, Government of India and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) center of Mata Sundri College for Women. She has also completed total 6 Faculty Development Programs and her areas of interest are Environmental Pollution, Waste Management, Waste Water treatment, Sustainable Development, Climate Change.
