Ms. Mandeep Kaur did her B.Sc. in Botany from S.G.T.B Khalsa College, Delhi University and M.Sc. in Biodiversity and Conservation from GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi. She has recently submitted her PhD thesis in Environmental Sciences at GGS Indraprastha University with a specialization in Biodiversity conservation and threat assessment. She has worked as a Trainee Environmental Engineer at Delhi Pollution Control Committee, Department of Environment, Government of NCT of Delhi. She has also worked as Research fellow in a DST-SERB project. She was also selected as one of the candidates at all India level for the prestigious DST-SERB sponsored Herpetology School held at Wildlife Institute of India, 2015. She has published 9 research papers in peer reviewed national and international journals. She has also presented her work at various National and International conferences and was also awarded with best poster presentation at national level conference held at CSIR-NBRI. She has also been featured in “The Week” magazine for her work on the threatened species i.e Indian Spiny-tailed lizard in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan.
